General terms of business and use for clippra’s online services: website, account and paid add-ons.
Updated · 15 October 2026
The provider (contracting party) is the person or company named in the imprint (hereinafter “we” / “us”).
The service is the online service clippra, available at www.clippra.de (in particular AI-assisted video editing, export, storage and project features to the extent described in each case).
By registering, by using the service or, for paid offers, by completing a purchase or checkout, you accept these terms in their current version. Deviating terms of the user apply only if we agree to them in writing.
A consumer within the meaning of the law is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession.
We provide the platform “as available”. Scope, interface and technical details (e.g. formats, resolutions, waiting times, AI models) may change as the service evolves, as long as the overall character of the service remains consistent with the contract.
There is no entitlement to uninterrupted, error-free use. Display, processing and export depend on input files, technology, load and third-party components (hosting, AI APIs).
Results generated or edited by AI are subject to your own factual and legal review (e.g. copyright, personality rights, trademarks) before you publish or share them.
Parts of the service require an account (e.g. via our sign-in provider, currently Clerk). You must provide truthful sign-up details. You are responsible for keeping your access credentials secret and for notifying us of any misuse as soon as you become aware of it.
A legal entitlement to specific features exists only where it has been expressly promised (e.g. in pricing or product texts).
You remain the owner of the content you upload. You grant us the right to store and process this content and the intermediate and final results created from it, to display it within the service and to transfer it to subprocessors where technically necessary, only to the extent required to provide the service. For details, see the privacy policy.
You declare that your inputs infringe neither the rights of third parties (copyright, related rights, trademarks, personality rights) nor applicable criminal law. You indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your unlawful use, to the extent you acted intentionally or negligently; this includes reasonable defence costs.
We do not review content in the way a platform with editorial responsibility does. In the case of justified claims or where required by law, content may be blocked or removed (see below).
Where we offer free trial or free features, they may be withdrawn at any time and are non-binding, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Paid subscriptions and payment obligations arise from the plans described on the pricing page at the time of the order. Payment is processed by our payment provider (currently Stripe) using its payment methods and, where applicable, your SEPA or card authorisation.
Unless stated otherwise, prices include statutory VAT where and to the extent it applies. All amounts are in euros (€).
Term and renewal: If billing is monthly or yearly, the term begins with successful payment confirmation and renews by the chosen billing period until you cancel. You can cancel your paid plan via the management shown in your account (or the Stripe customer portal), effective at the end of the current billing period, unless the interface provides otherwise.
One-time purchases (Trip Pass, Reel Unlock, extra exports, token packs) are not subscriptions: they do not renew and do not need to be cancelled. The Trip Pass applies from the purchase for the term stated at the time of purchase. Reel Unlock applies to one project: you receive one reel from this project without a watermark and choose in the editor whether exactly the rendered reel or, where the editor offers it, a new cut from a preview is rendered. The purchase does not expire as long as the required material remains in the project; from the purchase, the project is kept for at least seven days. We do not re-render a deleted reel. If the reel cannot be delivered without a watermark before you have received it, we refund the purchase price.
If you are a consumer based in the EU, you have a right of withdrawal for distance contracts, about which we inform you separately in the order and/or email process (see instructions on withdrawal). Performance may begin early with your express consent; the right of withdrawal may then expire as provided by law (see the attached or linked model instructions, where applicable).
Rights to send reminders and to suspend access remain unaffected in the case of missing or rejected payment. Statutory rules on payment default (e.g. Section 286 of the German Civil Code, BGB) apply.
We aim for high availability and may schedule maintenance, updates and security measures that cause brief limitations. There is no entitlement to timely export or permanent archiving of your projects; you should back up important results locally or externally in good time.
We may suspend or terminate your access with reasonable notice, or immediately if urgently required, if you breach these terms, applicable law or the rights of third parties, persistently refuse payment, or security risks arise. Any entitlement to a refund follows from the statutory provisions and the paid package you chose, not on a flat-rate basis.
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under product liability law and where we have assumed a guarantee.
Otherwise, in cases of slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation (cardinal obligation), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Any further liability is excluded unless one of the exceptions above applies. This applies in particular to indirect damage, lost profit (except in cases of intent or similar) and data loss, to the extent it could have been avoided by customary backups.
Mandatory statutory protections for consumers remain unaffected. Business users are fully liable for their own input files, approvals and further use of the AI output.
For how we handle personal data, cookies and legal bases, please refer to the privacy policy. Strictly necessary cookies and, with your consent, further categories are explained there.
We are obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board only if and to the extent required by law. We are not willing to take part voluntarily. You can reach us at contact@clippra.de to find an amicable solution.
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence remain unaffected where they give you greater protection.
If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law based in Germany, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from the relationship under these terms is our actual place of business, to the extent legally permissible. For consumers, the statutory places of jurisdiction apply where applicable.
Should any provision be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected; where necessary, it is replaced by an economically equivalent provision.
We may amend these terms with effect for the future if there are objective reasons (e.g. law, technology, scope of the product). In the case of material changes to ongoing paid relationships, you will be notified in good time by email or in the product where required by law; if you do not object, continued use may be deemed consent, as provided by law. If a change puts you at an unreasonable disadvantage, your right to cancel or special right of termination applies where provided.
These terms are available in German and English. The version in the language in which you conclude the contract is authoritative.
